What it is
Every day we collect job postings from 9 Philippine job boards, plus the government’s CSC Job Portal, which we count for pay transparency only and keep out of the pay figures. Once a month we publish the middle of what those ads say they pay, by role and city, and we keep publishing it on the same day every month so the numbers can be compared over time.
The name is sweldo — salary in Filipino — and index. That is the whole product.
What it is not
- Not take-home pay. These are the figures employers advertise, before deductions for SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG and withholding tax.
- Not a job board. We list postings that state a salary and link to the employer's own ad. We never republish the text of an ad and we never take applications.
- Not a survey. Nobody submits their salary to us. Every number comes from a public job posting.
- Not a recruiter. We do not place, refer or endorse anyone.
Corrections
If a figure here is wrong, tell us and we will fix it and say what we changed. Send the page URL and what is wrong to the address in the sidebar. We reply within two working days.
We can fix our own mistakes: a mis-read salary line, a posting filed under the wrong role or city, a duplicate we failed to fold. We cannot change what an employer wrote in their own ad — if the ad itself is wrong, the correction has to come from the board it was posted on.
For job boards
We publish aggregate statistics and a link to your posting. We do not copy ad text, we do not host applications, and we send readers to you. We follow robots.txt, we crawl slowly, and we stop the moment a site asks us to.
If you would like your postings excluded, write to the same address with the domain and we will stop collecting from it. We do not argue first.
